Tom was born and brought up in Devon, and although with a farming background decided that the world of buildings and property were of significantly more interest than animal husbandry and crops. After a stint with a local estate agent in his gap year, it was off to Reading University to complete his honours degree in Estate Management. His first appointment was in Plymouth working in general practice and management of a couple of large old established estates in Cornwall and South Devon. Other areas of practice over the years included the Taunton and Bridgwater areas in Somerset, Torquay, North Devon and mid and east Cornwall. He has been based now at Exeter since 1996 and covers the whole of the south west with both residential and commercial property. He lives with his wife, a keen aviator and cytologist, in a small village close to the Blackdown Hills.
Sue started working for Bradleys Surveyors in 1997 as an Administrator/ Secretary and soon found that she wanted to progress her career and become a Chartered Surveyor. Whilst working, buying and moving homes three times, getting married and having three children Sue completed both a Diploma in Surveying Practice and a Degree in Estate Management which resulted in a First Class Honours Degree.
In 2012 (after taking the RICS Assessment of Professional Competency) she became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and now carries out Mortgage Valuations, RICS Homebuyer Reports, Inheritance Tax Valuations and Commercial Valuations. She works from our Southernhay office in Exeter with her colleague Tom Davies.
Sue lives in a small village outside of Crediton and enjoys running, gardening, DIY and reading.
Jade graduated from the College of Estate Management with a degree in Estate Management and joined us as a trainee surveyor in early 2018 after 15 years in the agency world. After completing her Associate qualification in 2019, she is now working towards full Chartered status which she hopes to achieve in 2021. Jade is an RICS Registered Valuer and her daily work consists of Mortgage Valuations, RICS Homebuyer Reports, Building Surveys and various private valuations including Right to Buy, Help to Buy, Probate and Lease Extension Valuations.
Jade lives in Plymouth and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her young family at the beach and on Dartmoor.
Phil completed a Masters in Land Economy (MLE) as a mature student at the University of Aberdeen and qualified as a Rural Surveyor. He has worked for Stratton and Holborrow, Smiths Gore and Savills mainly in Estate Management. Phil is an RICS Registered Valuer and does valuations of land and (rural) property and RICS HomeBuyer Reports. He lives on a smallholding near Crediton with his wife, two teenage daughters, two dogs, a turkey and a gander. He sometimes keeps pigs for the pot and is interested in cooking and wine. In the winter he is out shooting and in the summer he fishes and watches or occasionally plays cricket.
Charlie is a Chartered Surveyor who lives and works in North Devon, originally from Scotland. Having completed a BSc (Hons) at Glasgow Caledonian University in building surveying, prior to qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor, Charlie is experienced in valuing and surveying a wide range of properties. His daily work consists of residential valuations, RICS Homebuyer Reports and Residential Building Surveys.
Away from work Charlie is a keen rock climber and big rugby fan, enjoys running, walking and all things outdoors.
Lucy started working for Bradleys Surveyors in December 2016 as an Administrator in our Exeter office and has since taken on a number of office management duties. Lucy came to us with a degree in Business Management and is now studying her MSc in Real Estate to be able to complete her APC and become a Chartered Surveyor. Lucy lives in Exeter City centre with her partner and puppy Chester. In her spare time she enjoys long walks and going to the gym.
Amanda is a Secretary at our Exeter office and is interested in history and historical buildings. Amanda enjoys coastal path walking, sea swimming and is turning into a bit of gym bunny!
Andy started his estate agency career in 1992 and was a residential branch manager for 10 years. He has worked in a variety of property roles in and around South Devon, from New Homes sales & site manager to advising on renovations. Andy is also a Domestic Energy Assessor.
He now heads up our Commercial Department whilst also studying for the Diploma in Residential Surveying & Valuation in order to become AssocRICS accredited.
Outside of work Andy’s children keep him busy and he supports them in their activities. When there’s time he enjoys walking and traveling.
